2018 Call for Presentations

The 29th Annual Conference will be here before we know it and we are looking for individuals to share their expertise with fellow attendees in San Diego! We're looking for manuscripts and presentations covering a range of swimming pool plastering-related topics.

Based on the submission of abstracts, selected individuals will be invited to submit their paper and deliver presentations at the Annual Conference in February, 2018. Presentations will be selected based on the specific criteria, including relevance, originality and non-commercial tone and content. Abstracts will be reviewed and evaluated by the Education Committee of the National Plasterers Council as they organize the program for the 2018 NPC Conference.

Review the brochure and submit your presentation by September 1st!

Rey Perales Memorial Scholarship Open for Applications

NPC is proud to present the Rey Perales Memorial Scholarship to children of NPC Members and their employees every year and we are now accepting applications for scholarships awarded in 2018. This award is announced every year at the NPC Annual Conference.

Children of NPC members and their employees submit an essay, letters of recommendation and proof of scholastic achievement and have the chance to win money towards their education. Based on available funds, students are awarded a minimum of $500 and maximum of $5,000. There’s no reason not to take the time and apply!

Let your children and employees know! This scholarship is exclusive, so that means there is a higher chance to be awarded than if they would apply to one that is open to everyone.

View the application online or download the PDF and plan your submission today!

Deadline for submission is December 31, 2017.

Chris Myers Services

Our condolences are with the family and friends of Chris Myers, who passed away suddenly on on Monday, June 19th. Chris, the founder of Eden Swimming Pools, was an amazing business man, friend and Father. He believed in building community along with beautiful pools for his clients. As a cancer survivor, he gave generously to Cancer charities around his area to help families of other survivors and those who have lost loved ones to Cancer. A Facebook post on his business' page states:

"Chris touched the hearts of many and we miss him. We will honor Chris and his legacy by continuing with his traditions, serving our community and building the most beautiful swimming pools in South Texas for our customers."

A memorial for Chris Myers has been set for Saturday July 8 at 2pm at Kreidler Funeral Home in McAllen, TX.
