Frank Lloyd
Wright Tour

You’ll be drawn closer into Frank Lloyd Wright’s world with special trips into the Wrights’ living quarters and the gracious Taliesin West “Garden Room”. You’ll feel the beauty and peace of the spaces in which Frank Lloyd Wright welcomed the many famous guests he entertained at his desert home. Frank Lloyd Wright built this desert masterpiece as his winter home and studio in the foothills of the McDowell Mountains where he lived with his third wife, Oglivanna. It is now Scottsdale’s only National Historic Landmark.

Following the tour, the group will have lunch at Arcadia Farms Café and Gourmet Marketplace. Arcadia Farms first opened its doors in 1990 as a small carryout market and bakery. Now, over twenty years later, Arcadia Farms has evolved into one of Scottsdale’s favorite dining spots, offering signature omelets for breakfast, gourmet sandwiches, fresh organic salads, seasonal specialty entrées, fine wines and delectable pastries. They are committed to using wholesome, natural, organic and local products in all of their recipes. They also support family-owned and local farms in our region whenever possible.
10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Arrival and debrief | 11:45 a.m. Skeet shooting and photos

Skeet shooting dates back to the 1920s. It was created to offer the sportsman something to sharpen skills during the off-season. The field moves shooters in a semicircle, presenting them with a combination of 25 high and low targets that are launched to cross in front of the shooter. The Ben Avery Clay Target Center is located on the grounds of the 1,650-acre Ben Avery Shooting Facility and is owned by the Arizona Game and Fish Commission and operated by the Arizona Game and Fish Department. It is surrounded by scenic Sonoran desert landscape.

Lunch to follow at Rock Springs Café and Saloon. Rock Springs Café and Saloon is a long-established restaurant with an impeccable reputation - favorite lunches and dinners that are just like home. Dine by the old stone fireplaces, or enjoy the warm and intimate atmosphere of their historic dining rooms. Boasting a menu that has "something for everyone," Rock Springs Café and Saloon” is sure to satisfy even the toughest critic! The Rock Springs Café and Saloon cooks serve up the finest steaks, ribs, chicken and the freshest seafood you’ll find in Arizona. No meal is complete without a piece of one of their baked fresh daily famous pies. As a historic location, Rock Springs Café gained its international notoriety over 30 years ago when it started selling pies and the legend of the cafe's pastries was born. The legend continues to grow to this day. It’s not uncommon to sell thousands of pies in one weekend. After lunch, stop at the General Store or one of the specialty shops for an eclectic selection of gifts and Arizona keepsakes.
