Find a Pool Inspector - National Plasterers Council
Share |

Due to the spread of COVID-19 and its impacts on travel, the NPC has decided to temporarily suspend this program.  To the extent there are inspectors that remain active their listings remain posted below, and you may contact them directly.

For years the NPC has offered a free pool inspection referral program. The NPC is happy to list the following pool inspectors. Please keep in mind that while the referral program is free, there will be charges from the inspector should it be determined that an on-site inspection needs to take place.

Since the late 1980s, the National Plasterers Council, in an effort to serve the public, has created education programs about the proper installation, start-up, care, and maintenance of cementitious interior pool finishes. During this time, the NPC has worked with other leading pool industry associations to ensure harmony within the pool industry in this area.

As a result, the NPC and greater pool industry have developed educational programs and reference materials about the proper start-up, care, and maintenance of cementitious pool and spa interior finishes.  Examples of these reference materials and educational programs are:

         REFERENCE MATERIALS

          CLASSES

  • PHTA PPSO or CPO Class
  • Inspection Reporting Writing Class
  • Diagnosing Pool Interior Finishes Class
  • Pool Chemistry Certification Residential Class

Also, for those looking for a pool inspector, the NPC recommends viewing two popular video series. Each series highlights common pool interior issues and will help you understand the dynamics between your interior pool finish and proper water treatment.

The NPC recommends that the pool inspector you select is well versed in the reference materials, and has attended these classes, and adheres to the principles, methods, and standards discussed by these resources.  All pool inspectors listed on this site have agreed in writing to do so.  While the NPC is happy to offer this program, it takes no responsibility for the advice and service provided by these inspectors. This list is made available to the public as a service to recognize those pool inspectors that have offered their credentials to the NPC as a willing participant in this program. Please also be aware, there will be a charge for this service and you should discuss this with the pool inspector before scheduling a service.
